Visual Art

approach

Initially, my approach to art was imitation of others, doing tutorials and getting comfortable with my tools.

I am now very comfortable with my favourite mediums; watercolour, wax and oil crayons, water soluble ink, pencils and ink.

I approach art as a way to become distinctly aware of my subject. The distinct awareness places me in relationship with whatever is inspiring me and then I play with colour and my media.

a body of work

I’m currently working with a mentor and developing a body of work which I’m very excited about.

Art Process Facilitation

Want to have an art process at your next event?

I have a number of group processes I facilitate at my own retreats that I am now offering more widely.

These are low/no skill art processes that can be equally satisfying for more experienced art practitioners.

I provide all the materials including paper, brushes and water soluble art supplies (plastic free).

These processes work well for groups of up to 10.

Please reach out if you’re interested to hear more.

This service is available as a trade/barter as well as a paid service.

Writing

As I’ve been working through my Graduate Diploma of Writing and Literature, I’ve been developing and sharing both creative and critical wrtings. Sometimes it’s hard to grasp which is which.

My writing is woman’s writing so it includes my whole body and expereince. It is feminist writing. It is for everyone and maybe it isn’t for everyone.

Feel free to explore my current selection of writings.

At times I write about quite sensitive topics based on my own experience including death of babies, sexual assault and more. Please proceed with care to yourself.
