Are you finding a lot of reasons to NOT do video for your business?

I remember my first video…I wanted to delete it straight away. I couldn’t stand the sound of my voice.
What got me going with video was making videos for my clients and interviewing other business people. That way, my attention wasn’t on my, my voice, my appearance, what I was saying.
Instead, my attention was on the other person, the person I was helping or interviewing.
Another block I had was worrying that the whole world would see my video, so knowing that the video was just for my client made it easier.
So that’s my tip:
Create a video where you are thinking about a recent client session and the one thing you want your client to know.
Look at that green dot, or the camera on your phone and pretend it’s them, then let it rip. Don’t watch it back – just send it to them.
Another option is to share it to a close friend or business mentor, someone who will cheer you on.
These methods help you wire the new neural pathways needed to get better while removing some of the issues with over-focussing on yourself or worrying about who will see it.
I never used to be able to listen to my videos, I couldn’t stand the sound of my voice. Now, I listen back to my videos and I even think they’re pretty good – but I’m 10 years in – so give yourself some grace.
Don’t wait another day – do it as soon as you can – because the sooner you start, the sooner you’ll be producing videos you can be proud of.
PLUS the world needs your brilliance!
